Don your pitch-forks folks! When we all thought it couldn't get any worse for those deeply bowed folks at Sony, it did, in what can only be a "no excuse" situation for the firm.

Blood, Sweat and Monster Tears

Blood, Sweat and Monster Tears

Mythos is here!

This week marked the release of Mythos, the hack and slash MMO, where the blood-gates have been opened for the legions of Bloodletters, Pryomancers and Gadgeteers to run rampant in the dungeons of Uld!

The Official Scoop:

"Mythos brings the highly successful “Hack-and-Slash” formula to an action-packed "Free 2 Play" online role-playing game. Mythos offers players a virtual fantasy world based on a comic book-style atmosphere where they hunt countless monsters in a variety of dungeons. Players may also compete with each other in gripping PvP battles. There is a choice of four races and three character classes which can be heavily customised. Mythos was originally developed by Flagship Studios and since 2009 has been further continued and prepared for its release in Europe by the Korean publisher, HanbitSoft. Frogster will publish the game in five language versions – English, German, French, Polish and Turkish. The action-packed online game launched in Europe This Week!

Mythos producer Arne Freund commented on the successful launch earlier today: "We are very pleased with our rapidly growing community, whose support shows us that they, like us, have become really invested in the world of Mythos. We will continue to put all of our effort into supporting the game after release and to provide players with enough monsters to hack and slash their way through in the years to come.  Talking of which, I’ve got a grudge to settle...”

The game client is available for free download on the official website

There are no monthly fees, and regular updates and enhancements will be available free of charge. Mythos also has an item shop where players can purchase in-game items for small sums of money.  For those who like their exclusives, the box version of Mythos is available at local retailers and provides players with an item voucher worth £10 for a variety of exclusive in-game items.

Key Features:

Players can explore the game in the five languages (English, German, French, Polish and Turkish) with one server per language version.
• Hack’n’Slash meets Online-Role-Playing
• Randomly generated dungeons and items
• Extensive crafting and item upgrade systems
• Rewarding achievement system
• Fully-customizable range of three character classes and four races

Gotta Catch Em All Pokemon Past Present & Future

Gotta Catch Em All Pokemon Past Present & Future

I’m not sure exactly when I first heard about it, either from a Nintendo Power cover or a friend letting me borrow his Gameboy in recess, but not long after I had discovered it, Pokémon had well and truly invaded the consciousness of gamers all over the world. Everywhere you looked, kids were playing Pokémon Red and Blue, trading Pokémon cards and watching episode after episode of the Pokémon cartoon.
